New Bluetooth headset VMX 200 works like the human sense of hearing

An award-winning new Bluetooth 3.0 headset will make mobile phone calls in noisy environments easier: The VMX 200 – VoiceMax™ has been developed by experts from Sennheiser Communications in co-operation with engineers from hearing-aid specialist Oticon.

From September, you no longer need to repeat what you’ve just said when you are talking on your mobile phone while on the road. Sennheiser’s new VMX 200 – VoiceMax™ headset uses innovative technology to separate noise from the phone call, while delivering some of the best sound quality available in Bluetooth headsets.

The VMX 200 has already won a
design award

The tiny Bluetooth 3.0 headset features not only one but two built-in microphones. They are able to determine the direction the sound comes from, similar to the human sense of hearing. The integrated software then detects unrelated noise and cancels most of it out, sending only voice back over the telephone. This technology is complemented with a newly engineered speaker featuring high speech clarity. The combination of these technologies ensures clear phone calls even in noisy locations.

The VMX 200 – VoiceMax™ headset was developed by Sennheiser Communications, a joint venture between the audio specialist Sennheiser and hearing-aid specialist Oticon, and thus benefits from the latest research in the audio and hearing-aid industries.

“The VMX 200 – VoiceMax™ combines the best of both worlds. With our expertise in music and audiology, we have created a unique Bluetooth headset that will be an ideal companion for people working on the move,” says Christian Ern, Product Manager at Sennheiser Communications.

Another special feature of the VMX 200 that makes it a perfect choice for business people is the fact that the headset can be connected to two devices at the same time – for example a business and a private mobile phone or a mobile phone and a laptop computer.

The VMX 200 – VoiceMax™ is rounded off by an attractive design that has already won the headset a prestigious Red Dot Design Award for Product Design 2011. The Bluetooth headset is a perfect match for the iPhone* 3 and 4. Weighing in at just ten grammes, featuring a full six hours of talking time, and ten days of stand-by time, the VMX 200 – VoiceMax™ will be an indispensable companion at work, in the car, on the train and at the airport.

The VMX 200 will be available from September 2011.
Thanks to innovative technology, the Bluetooth headset VMX 200 works similar to the human sense of hearing
